RUTH & CARLOS AT OUR LADY OF SORROWS CHURCH & UNITARIAN SOCIETY OF SANTA BARBARA

As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers” and that’s exactly what happened on Ruth and Carlos’s wedding day. When it comes to spring weddings here on the central coast you never know what you’ll get! Unfortunately for Ruth and Carlos rain creeped into the forecast causing an unexpected change in plans.

During the final week it was all hands on deck as last minute changes needed to be made, including renting and installing a 20x20 tent for their reception to help shelter a small portion of their guests. Although the reception venue had indoor space available, it was not big enough for the entire guest count. Despite the added stress, Ruth and Carlos remained calm and we worked together with their vendor teams to come up with a new plan.

We did experience quite a lot of rain on the wedding day but thankfully by late afteroon it had cleared up and by the time dinner was over, everyone moved inside for the dance party! It just goes to show how important it is to always have a rain backup plan if you are having an outdoor wedding during those early spring or winter months.

Thankfully our skilled and professional team of vendors all worked together to make sure Ruth, Carlos and their guests had the best wedding experience under the circumstances and by the amount of smiles in these photos, it’s safe to say they did indeed!

Thank you to this amazing team for your help making this beautiful wedding a success for our bride & groom!
