MEGAN AND ANDREW AT THE SANTA BARBARA COURTHOUSE
Megan and Andrew were two of the most easygoing, low-key couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. From the very beginning, they approached wedding planning with a clear focus: creating a celebration that felt meaningful, memorable, and authentic to who they are rather than feeling tied to expectations or tradition for tradition’s sake.
For their Friday afternoon ceremony in April, the couple chose the iconic Santa Barbara Courthouse Mural Room for an intimate gathering surrounded by their closest family and friends. The historic architecture and beautiful painted walls created the perfect setting - timeless, romantic, and deeply personal.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to Gala, a beautiful restaurant and event space in downtown Santa Barbara within walking distance of the courthouse. The reception reflected Megan and Andrew’s relaxed approach to entertaining: casual, welcoming, and focused on spending quality time together. Guests enjoyed craft cocktails, light bites, and conversation in an environment that felt intimate and effortless.
The celebration continued the following day with a formal lunch for an extended group at Barbareño, another local Santa Barbara favorite. It created an opportunity for even more connection and quality time while giving the weekend a layered and intentional feel.
What I loved most about Megan and Andrew’s wedding was the balance they created between traditional and nontraditional elements. They embraced the parts of a wedding experience that felt meaningful to them while letting go of anything that didn’t. Their celebration was a beautiful reminder that you truly can have the best of both worlds when wedding planning is approached thoughtfully, intentionally, and in a way that stays true to who you are as a couple.
And ultimately, that’s what made the weekend feel so special - it felt entirely and authentically like Megan and Andrew.
