FALL FUNDRAISER FOR VILLA MAJELLA MATERNITY HOME

We had the pleasure of partnering with local non-profit, Villa Majella Maternity Home for their annual Autumn BBQ and fundraiser in October of 2022. The event included a Santa Maria style BBQ, musical entertainment, silent auction and raffle all for a great cause.

During the event guests heard personal stories from alumni mother’s who benefited from the services Villa Majella provides and how their lives have forever changed from their experience there. Attendees bid on donated auction items from local businesses, and purchased raffle tickets with proceeds going to Villa Majella to further support the work they do in the community.

Villa Majella provides women 18 years and older with a safe place to live while also offering pre and post-natal care, education and parenting classes, and basic necessities as well as emotional support throughout pregnancy. They ensure that new mothers are in the care of medical professionals throughout the labor and delivery process and connects them to appropriate medical services for themselves and their newborn.

Villa Majella also encourages new mothers to further their educational goals and helps prepare them for college and job opportunities. Many residents go on to enroll in the Single Parents Arriving Ready for College (SPARC) program offered by Santa Barbara City College. To learn more about this program, click here.

We were thrilled to be part of this event and to support this important cause. To learn more about Villa Majella and how you can get involved, click here.
