AURI AND SHAWHEEN AT THE SANTA BARBARA COURTHOUSE AND CABRILLO PAVILION

The bride - a bright light, radiant and beautiful inside and out with a kind heart and generous spirit. The groom - charming, witty, and captivating. I was immediately impressed by their focus and attention to every detail as we began working together. Every move, every decision, carefully calcuated and intentional.

In every physical sense, they are different, but united they are formidable. Their two worlds - American and Persian - came togther so beautifully for all to witness on a sunny July day. Their ceremony in the iconic Courthouse Mural Room was filled with love and rooted in conventional values and rituals as their closest people gathered around them from near and far. Auri and Shawheen beautifully balanced their visions with the bride focused on having an eco-conscious and mindful celebration ensuring every detail minimized waste, while Shawheen’s dedication to honoring his heritage brought rich cultural depth to the day. Together, their collaboration created a celebration that was both thoughtful and vibrant, seamlessly blending sustainability with tradition and making the experience unforgettable for everyone.

Sunset beach photos flowed right into an electric reception at the Cabrillo Pavilion where they feasted on a Persian-inspired meal, fragrant with spice and warmth, nonstop dancing, and the most incredibly positive vibes all day long. Shawheen, a creative and photographer himself, asked several of his photographer friends to take photos on the day - each with their own unique style and perspective which you can see in the various images below. This eclectic group of talented pros captured the essence of the day - the fun, the laughter, the energy, the well orchestrated mayhem mixed with the quiet, heartfelt, intimate moments that connected us all on a deeper level.

Working with Shawheen and Auri was an absolute delight from the moment we met. The connection was instant. These two deeply authentic humans are so grounded in their love and unapologetically themselves. I’ve truly never witnessed joy like this - pure, uninhibited, and without a doubt, unforgettable. Safe to say I was so sad when this day came to an end.
